Passo Duron – Cascate di Salino

UNDER THE WATERFALLS

Passo Duron from Tausia. It’s an unusual variation on the route from Ligosullo, far more challenging and with steeper gradients. As you pass Tausia, a delightful sunny village on the side of a spectacular valley, you’ll be fascinated by the authenticity of this landscape, but don’t be deceived by our words.

It’s not all valleys and waterfalls, there’s also THE CLIMB. The route includes gradients of 17% on the steepest section on the way to Forcella di Lius.

As ever, you’ll enjoy the complete absence of traffic and the perfect road surface. The gorgeous village of Paularo not only boasts the stunning Salino waterfalls, but is also famous for its scarpez, characteristic Carnia footwear that will delight anyone who has time to focus on the hidden sides of this wonderful area, its marvellous traditions and splendid costumes, and its fabulous roads.
